Senior Systems Admin - Linux Expert

We are looking for a Senior Systems Architect to join our crew. You are an expert with systems integration with solid experience in architecting, configuring and maintaining open source infrastructure services (web, emails, backup and database servers). You will be responsible for maintaining a critical infrastructure service.

What you’ll do

  • Administer the applications our clients use in their environment
  • Coach and mentor Oivan internal team working on the environment and on maintaining the infrastucture
  • Manage and troubleshoot system performance, logs, functionalities and incidents to ensure that the systems satisfy security, high availability and performance requirements

What you have

  • Experience in designing, implementing and optimizing Linux based infrastructure for web applications and enterprise systems.
  • Expert in automation tools like Ansible
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network configuration, services and protocols
  • Expert in implementing infrastructure services such as web servers, web caching, load balancer, VPN, firewalls, databases, backup etc.
  • Able to Provide level 2 support for Linux based infrastructure
  • Security controls implementation and auditing
  • Managing system upgrades, migrations and ensure that the systems satisfy the business security, availability and performance requirements.
  • Experience in container technology and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Monitoring servers KPI’s such as storage, CPU, Memory and maintain the agreed level of operation health
  • Support vendors and business owners for OS related issues, storage connectivity and remote access
  • Managing data backup at various levels
  • Propose and document new design, change requests and inventory reporting
  • Cost analysis for new projects and alternatives, cost review during predefined periods and recommendation for management
  • Systematic thinking and experience in debugging complex technical problems
  • Ability to work during off-working hours according to the customer needs
  • Working experience with system automation, regular expressions and scripting
  • Openstack experience is plus
  • Experience in DevOps and development technologies is an advantage: GIT, PHP and Drupal CMS administration.
  • Incident handling, troubleshooting and reporting for CITO, operation manager and other stakeholders

Database Administrator

Oivan is looking for an experienced database administrator for our exciting client project. The person is expected to have good experience with Microsoft SQL databases, MyDB/MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Also, PowerBI knowledge is required.

What you’ll do

  • Install, design and maintain database system software and implement database security.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database and issues troubleshooting systems/processes.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of strategic, architectural, and tactical plans for the database and data warehouse environments.
  • Provide individual mentoring and training on databases and tools. Recommend, test, and evaluate new technologies, software tools, and required skill sets.
  • Implement a Business Continuity solution for the database environment, including the installation and configuration of database software and replication processes.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.
  • Determination needed servers (operating systems, hardware, prerequisites…)
  • Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems, if required.

What you have

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Should have strong experience in SQL Server, MySQL, DB.
  • Prior working experience in big enterprise level projects.
  • Experience in Query optimizations or performance tuning.
  • Experience with Database upgrades, enhancement, and migration.
  • Define Backup/Recovery Strategy
  • Troubleshooting SQL Server & MYSQL issues
  • Maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
  • Support application team in development and test phase for all critical projects
  • Knowledge of Windows server, including Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB is a plus
  • MCTS, MCITP certifications adds value
