A Look Back On The Awesome Week of LEAP 2023
Just in two years, LEAP has grown to become the most significant technology event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the Middle East. It’s a global platform with over 170,000 visitors focused on bringing together the world’s greatest minds, from leading tech corporations to inspiring pioneers from start-ups and venture capitalists to make it all happen.
Oivan had the privilege to participate in the event as a part of Finland’s country pavilion, organized by Business Finland, together with four other Finnish technology companies Wapice, SSH, Frends and Secapp.
People who visited Oivan’s stand at LEAP in Saudi Arabia, were greeted by our rockstar Sales & Marketing Specialist, Hanane Abouabassi.
The 4-day event was massive, with five halls full of IT companies and governmental organizations from over 100 countries showcasing their expertise and technologies. The event was open from 10 am to 7 pm, but almost daily, the organizers had to announce in the early afternoon that entrance to the event was closed until 5 pm due to over-capacity.
It was nice to see so many familiar faces at our booth, clients, partners, and friends we’ve made during our 25 years journey in Saudi Arabia, as well many prospectie clients. We had a steady flow of visitors to our booth from morning to evening. Luckily, we had several Oivanities at our booth every day to tell booth visitors about our capabilities and expertise in the fields of design, digitalization, cybersecurity, and cloud operations.

The Ambassador of Finland to Saudi Arabia, Anu-Erika Viljanen visited our stand during the LEAP technology conference. She discussed with our team about business opportunities in the region and the role Oivan has been playing in digital transformation of Saudi Arabia for the past 25 years. Oivan’s Sales Director, Hicham Benkeltoum, wasted no time and his business cards change hands throughout the event.
We also had some exciting virtual reality (VR) demos powered by Varjo’s Aero high-end glasses. Our VR Specialist Tino Kankkunen was fully occupied with giving the visitors real-life demos featuring a Nordic design home, and a chance to throw snowballs to break a digital snowman.
The excellent quality of the VR experience produced many amazed faces at our booth.

Already being one of the biggest technology events by attendance globally, he LEAP organizer’s plans for the next year are even more ambitious. The event will be organized at a new venue, which will double the floor size up to 120 000 m2, and Oivan will surely attend at this outstanding event again.
