Team get Together in Phuket
Some Oivan team members from Vietnam and Thailand had the opportunity to travel to Phuket. They worked together with their Project Manager Jennifer Riley and their Head of Engineering Aki Teliö from Finland. It was the first face-to-face after the covid pandemic started. The whole team could workshop together on some big topics and plans during the trip.
“It was great meeting many people face to face for the first time and getting to know each other over the dinners and weekend activities.”
Aki Teliö
Visiting Maya Bay
During the weekend, the team took a memorable boating trip to the Phi Phi Islands and had the chance to visit one of the most popular bays in Thailand, Maya Bay.
Maya Bay was closed to the public for the past five years due to conservation efforts. Luckily, the authority re-opened the national park to the people around two months ago, so the Oivan team was amongst the first visitors back to one of the most beautiful bays.
“I am super proud to say that working at Oivan is pretty amazing. During the trip, I loved spending time laughing and learning with my colleagues.”
Jennifer Riley
The experiences from this trip were outstanding. A lot of positive feedback was received from the team after the trip. Common feedback was that it was not only fun but that they even reached higher productivity, thanks to the great teamwork, according to Head of Engineering Aki Teliö
“After two years of strict travel restrictions, this was a great chance to spend quality time together with the team. Hopefully, in the future, we could do this again.” Aki sums up.
