What We Need

Oivan is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in DevOps tools and technologies, including Linux and networking in the Middle East region. What You’ll Do

We offer you the unique opportunity to work and improve your skills with a diverse and geographically distributed team of technology and business experts around the world. You will provide required DevOps expertise for a crucial client project. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, implement and maintain digital solutions in our client’s platform
  • Be part of and contribute to a distributed cross-functional team to bridge the gap between Development and Operations
  • Development of digital solutions in dialogue with our senior software engineers
  • Continuous improvements of systems using CI/CD pipeline and automating security testing on a large scale
  • Proactively find and suggest technical solutions for improvements in project delivery and customer experience
  • Conduct expert training sessions and knowledge sharing to the customer and team members
  • Co-create a runbook and playbook for product and project bases

What You Have

For this role, you are going to be working with our client within a cross-functional team as DevOps Engineer, we prefer that you have the following:

  • Technical university education (at least relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science) with a few years of experience working in agile development and delivery projects. Relevant industry experience of work within IT and OT architecture is advantageous.
  • Ability to work together with other people in your team.
  • You are communicative with the ability to both see the big picture and understand details and also be able to describe your solutions in an easy-to-understand way, at a high level and at a detailed level.
  • You have skills and experience in some of the following areas: Openstack, AWS, Google Cloud, Container Orchestration (managing Dockers / Kubernetes), SQL, noSQL databases Data visualization (Grafana, ELK, Prometheus), Code and Scripting skills in Gitlab / Bash / Ruby / Node.js
  • Experience working in Gitlab pipelines – CI/CD flow, Helm chart, GitOps and system automation tools such as Ansible
  • Relevant work experience in Linux system administration
  • Excellent communication skills in English – Arabic is a great asset
